I’m going on a one week blog-a-thon, but I have nothing to blog about today . So in conclusion, I’m going to talk about stereotypes, against Asians. Seeing as I’ve been Asian my whole life (duh, not like I can change it), this will be extremely easy to rant about O3o. So here goes

1. All Asians own a rich luxury car. (ex: Lexus, Mercedes, etc…)

• Ok this one is totally false. We don’t ALL have one. In fact, no one in my family does. My aunt and uncle, they probably make more than $200,000 a year and they both drive a Honda. So it’s not because they can’t afford it, us Asians are in fact just cheapos. Example: I go into Hollister with my mom and I want a shirt that costs like $12.00. She’s all like “I remember when these things were only $2.00! Put it back, you’re not buying it.” Of course it tends to piss me off, but hey, what can you do? She’s Asian

2. Asians are racist.

• This one is just stupid in my opinion . I mean, WHO ISN’T RACIST? I believe everyone is, they just don’t admit it. I mean, who doesn’t laugh at those ridiculous racist jokes? Seriously, I even laugh at the ones that are racist to Asians (I’m Asian thank you). For example, sometimes I like to go to the park and whisper to someone I’m with, “Look! Black birds,” and both of us would start cracking up.

3. Asians hang around in groups with other Asians.

• This MAY be true for some. But I have a variety of friends. You know what? It’s hard for me personally to prove this statement false because, there are pretty much only 3 races where I am. (Asian, Mexican/Latino, White). Okay, just kidding. I have a white friend okay? SEE!? I’m not racist. PSH. psshh. ):

4. Asians are nerds, geeks, over-achievers.

• This one, I’m not so sure I could prove false. It’s rare when I find an Asian with ALL F’s and D’s. But hehe, this year, I got my first D in biology. So “ohhh what now?!” I’m not an over-achiever! In truth, we aren’t really over-achievers. In my case, I only get the grades to please my parents. Kind of ironic because they’re like “don’t get into peer pressure!” (: lmaos, whaatevers!

5. Asian Girls own a **** load of purses, bags, etc..

• Um, this one, I’m guilty . I probably have like more than… actually I don’t know o-O. Baaahh. But most just own one and a backpack OKAY?!

6. Asians, a majority of the time, throw/flash the ‘peace sign’ in pictures.

• Yeah, I see this a lot in my friends’ pictures and I have to say, this is quite disapointing. BE CREATIVEEE! Stop flashing the Asian “gang” sign homies ): We need better ways to express our pride, haha. *tangles fingers around* How bout this? (:

I’m done listing some, but here are some I get regularly:

-Do you always use chopsticks? Why would I always use them if forks and spoons are so much easier :X? haaa?

-Do you know kung fu, martial arts, karate, etc? Yeah but I’m sure my mom didn’t sign me up for it because “I’m Asian.”

-All you Asians look the same! What do you know like, three Asians? That are related?! Dedede ):

-Are you Chinese? Do you know how to say …… in Chinese? No comment man o_o.

-Are your eyes open? haha, eff you . LOLOL.

-You Asians and your perfect hair. Uhh, no, I use a hair straightener. Silly goose o-o..

-Do you, eat everything with rice? Yeah, what am I supposed to eat it with, ketchup?

-Are you good at math/science? Will you help me with my homework? I’m good at math, I suck at science (biology only), and no I will not .

-Have you, ever eaten a dog? LOOOL. I’m going to cut your eggroll off, and feed it to my dog, then send it to Korea for them to eat the dog. GG.
